1. Core Functionality & Android VpnService Disclosure

Use of VpnService: AdGuard DNS Protection utilizes Android's VpnService API to establish a local, device-level network tunnel. This tunnel is used exclusively to intercept local DNS (Domain Name System) requests on your device and route them to secure, user-selected encrypted DNS servers (e.g., AdGuard DNS, Family Protection DNS, or custom DNS endpoints).

Purpose: The VpnService is strictly used to block malicious domains, phishing websites, trackers, and intrusive ads by filtering DNS queries locally on your device.
No Traffic Manipulation / No Monetization: We do NOT route general internet web traffic through remote VPN proxies, nor do we redirect or manipulate user traffic for advertising, tracking, or monetization purposes.
No Personal Data Collection or Logging: The local VpnService does NOT collect, inspect, store, or log any personal data, browsing history, web content, IP addresses, or network traffic payload. All DNS filtering decisions occur locally or via the designated secure DNS provider.
Data Encryption: All DNS requests routed via the VpnService to DNS endpoints utilize secure, encrypted protocols (DNS-over-HTTPS / DNS-over-TLS).

2. Information We Collect

AdGuard DNS Protection is designed with a strict privacy-first architecture. We do not require account creation, registration, or submission of personal identifying information to use the Application.

The Application may use standard third-party services that collect non-personally identifiable diagnostic and analytical data to ensure optimal application performance and deliver non-intrusive advertisements:

Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect anonymous device identifiers, network state, and ad interaction metrics in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

License to Use the Application

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Service Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on a mobile device for personal or internal business purposes.
